Leeds 10K questions
When should I start training for the Leeds 10K?
Most runners need 8–10 weeks. Counting back from Sunday 13 June 2027, a 10-week plan starts on Monday 5 April 2027 and an 8-week plan on Monday 19 April 2027. Start later and Kyrvo shortens the plan, down to six weeks.
Is the Leeds 10K good for a first 10K?
Many first-timers choose it. It is open to all abilities and runners must be 15 or over on race day. If you are not running yet, start with Couch to 5K and build up.
Where does the Leeds 10K start and finish?
It starts outside the Parkinson Steps at the University of Leeds, with a 9:00 am start listed by Run For All for 2027, and finishes on The Headrow. Confirm details with the organiser.
How hilly is the Leeds 10K?
The route heads up into Headingley before returning to the city. Run For All publishes an elevation map on the race page, so check it for the numbers.
Can I get a place?
Entry was open on the Run For All page when we last checked, and the Leeds DUO season ticket combines it with the Leeds Half Marathon. Entry details change, so check the organiser’s page.
Do I need to sign up to see the plan?
No. Answer three questions to see your full plan. Create a free account only if you want to save it and have it adapt.
Is Kyrvo really free?
Yes. Kyrvo is free to use. Any race or kit links that earn us a fee are clearly labelled, and we never sell your data.
